Life Group @ Crossroads Jan 2018;)
WOW!! It has been two years since I have written on my blog!!!! All is good...still living with mom, still in my old bedroom with the pretty flowered wallpaper and my white Princess furniture. View of Pine trees. My daddy planted pine trees for each of us kids. My tree is right outside my window. It is the smallest tree. Phil's tree is the biggest by the road. He is my protector...Perry is next & then Paul's. Perry's tree has it's arms all around my tree. He has been my rock these past few years, Cant see Paul's tree from my window....he is sneaky, haha...I have to go out to see his tree which is closest to me....he is always holding me up in prayer. People used to think we were twins. In our adult lives..Paul & his family & my family have done tons of fun things together when they lived in Colorado Springs. Lots of ski trips, Christmases, Bronco games & in Redding boating & hiking with us. They live in California now, so I see them from time to time, which has been nice. And we were all together with nieces & nephews & Grandma Helen...except my kids of course...on Christmas Eve...Schaefer tradition...lots of fun! More added now that 3 kids are married:)
So since I've been home, I have been attending Crossroads Church which is a few blocks from mom's house. I knew Pam growing up as her sister Susan Deegan was my best friend in my neighborhood and continued to be best friends our adult lives. Chuck went to our First Baptist Church on Main St when his grandma would drag him there! haha he mentioned something like that last Sunday Sermon. So I feel comfortable there...I LOVE the Worship time! I really need to go to a church body that loves the LORD and worships Him. Chuck wants us all to be connected to a life group; which is totally out of my comfort zone. Then all of last year 2017 I felt God prompting me to join one. So when we started to "Go Boldly!" we were challenged to do something to come out of our comfort zone and step forward...on this new year in 2018. So I finally submitted to God and put my slip in for a group to join. I put 55 and older mixed group. So I got a call from Dan & Erica whom are not in their fifties,,,to join their group. I know that was designed by God, that that is where He wants me. I knew something was going to happen there...and it has.....God is so good! And they have all become friends in such a short time..so more on this later.....hopefully sooner than two years from now!!!;)
Oh we are in the book of Revelation for six months, half way through and in my life group we are studying it together.

On Meeting Someone Organically;)
Ok so this is a term my daughter phrased when she first heard I was getting on the "dating sites". She is so smart and absolutely correct as I've been on sites for over 4 years now off & on; and not a valid relationship has developed. ;)-....although I might say one of the men on CM almost broke my heart. That is perfectly fine as I once prayed that I might have someone break my heart & at least see what love feels like again....Rachelle is my hippie baby...she is sooo not judgmental. She has love in her heart for everyone...I wish I could be like her....so Phil & my sister in law Laurie met on EHarmony 6 years ago. Four years ago they made me join too. They had both been going to "Mariners" the church I introduced Phil to when I was in College back in my twenties. This church has grown to about 8,000 members. Well he was in Men's ministry & she was in Women's ministry & they had never met!...so the dating sites do work for many people...one thing about being on them is I learned how to communicate again, flirt again, and have friendships with the opposite sex...(oh what is that word? I cant remember it's been so long..hahah). So one of my past school mates Robbie Verdusco, is now a UPS guy & he went into the Dental Office where I am working as a Receptionist until I go back to school next year. He told me that Kenny Ramirez is single & that I should go by & talk to him as he lives on the street above where Im currently living which is with my mom. They were both best friends with David Uribe who I dated in High School. So this past Sunday I stopped at his house & we had a nice hour long chat to get re-aquanted & we decided to take in a Baseball game with Robbie & his wife. God is good! I love Baseball. And I love the Angels my first team, tho now my heart is with the Mariners ( I met Daniel Howe who played for them before he got hurt, his dad is in the hall of fame as one of the Best ball players ever. I called on a Denali that was for sale-it was his & the original owner was the owner of Firestone. On the test drive I told Daniel everything I know about Real Estate. He is now very successful in Beverly Hills as a Realtor).

82 Cents
So yesterday I went down to .82 cents in my bank account.!!!! UGH!....I try...I really do....I got paid today so I survived yet my tire company called and weighed me down with a $67. payment...which they created as they gave me late fees because they raised the monthly payment from $25 to $35 without notifying me!!! They dropped one late fee yet kept one on. Well again it really was my fault yet I have my routines now..ie..going to my gym around 8pm & staying till 10pm, grab dinner at home & zzzz. All of my bills are tossed in a bag...aaaahhhh I pay my bills & tithe on the first. I usually know what I need to pay. I guess I have to get that darn bag out and read the million bills I have piled up!....Im not complaining....just havent made time to open them.
Tomorrow Im getting my tires rotated finally. I have Michilens on the front & Good year on the back. Im supposed to have four of the same as I have an AWD, Nissan Juke (original model of first make-so I'll always keep my car as it will be a classic one day & they've already changed the body style). I've only had the front tires 7 months, yet Ive had the back tires for over two years and they have more tread than the front. I will be loyal to the co. that out performs the other. Looks like I'm going to be a good year gal;).
Im also going shopping with one of my best friends Julie...her son Bryce is marrying my niece Lara. So Im helping her pick out a mother of the bride dress. I already have tons of dresses so Im good-and Ive gotta keep mowing down my bills as I prayed over 5 years ago that I wanted to be out of debt before I got into a serious relationship. WOW dont pray things unless you mean it!!!!! I've been single now for 6 years...have not dated...have not been kissed properly....ack this is killing me!!! hahah so Im going to sell Mary Kay, Princess House & Pampered Chef as I like to cook. God has always provided for me. He is awesome & loving.!! Aren't we lucky? Im happy again and that is what matters. I have really great friends...Im just praying that I meet that really great guy. So here's my list that I have taped to the first page in my leather apple green Bible dated June 2012.
1) Loves the LORD with all of his heart, soul & mind.
2) Obeys God:
a) Tithes
b) Fellowships
c) Honors parents
d) Stays pure
3) Has a ministry=listens to God's calling.
4) Loves his children=spends time with them.
5) Chooses me as a priority; accepts me for who I am.
So that is only 5 topics....I just met a lady tonite that wrote down 10 things and promised God that she would wait until she met the man that had all ten qualities. She waited and He did bring her a godly Christian Husband. That was so encouraging to me. God brings amazing people into my life and Angels just when I seem to need them.
Blessings.

My Four Twenty Baby;)
My four twenty baby is my daughter Rachelle...she was born on Frank's graduation day from the CHP at 4:20, I picked Dr. Bob because he had in big red letters in the phone book :"NO ABORTIONS",,,,,,he is an amazing dr. I had back labor all night then woke up thinking I might be in Labor....called his office...called Frank out of the academy and on our way to a baby...I wanted an epidural and my husband at the time wanted it all to be natural..I had told my friend Cindy..he doesn't love me! She said just wait till he sees you in pain he will want you to have one..I had the best Anesthesiologist in the State Of Calif because we had Rachelle at Sutter Memorial=across from Sutters fort in Sacramento and that hospital has the neonatal section where they fly all emergency babies into. Any way he had given a class and told all of the ladies that it was like having a Margarita and that sold me! And he said come on were not in the dark ages.....
My very best friend Susan Deegan had been in a car crash and died about 15 years ago. She is buried within 200 yards of my father. I sent 3 dozen long stemmed yellow roses in the shape of a heart. Her other two best girlfriends sent hearts & flowers too. I spoke at her funeral and at the graveside service i looked down * I had a snag in my nylons....so I smiled Susan was saying dont be so serious. They allowed everyone to choose a flower to put on her casket...She had the most beautiful long stem red roses from her husband..probably 3,000 worth-I had worked in a flower shop in Bishop * I know the price of funeral flowers...many people chose the red roses yet my classmates all took a yellow rose from my gift and laid them on her casket...all of the flowers were gone except one yellow rose. Frank said Susan left that for you....well we walked over to my fathers grave and on it was his date of birth Oct 10-deceased Jan 8, 1971...which was 20 years and 2 days to the date of my sweet daughters birth. God really loves us...he replaces sorrow with joy.\
Oh we had to fly back right after the funeral because we both had to work the next day....It was right after 9-11 in March. I was dressed in black heels & my classic black jacket and skirt...the airport chose to search me....Frank had tears in his eyes when he told them to please not search me I had just come from my best friends funeral. They did say sorry sir yet they couldnt profile. I just said it was fine. I would strip search for the USA if I had to.
Susan was on her way from Phoenix to San Diego because her daughter Cari was giving birth. Her daughter Teal & her husband Jim * his son Jimmy were also in the car. Teal broke her leg & Jimmy is paralized from the waist down, yet he is a great kid..Teal and I are friends..I need to look up Alexis her grand daughter and Cari. I held Lexy at Susan's viewing..It was very Bitter Sweet. I promised Susan I would look after her daughters and grand daughter..I must believe God has brought me to Corona again for His purposes and that He has plans for me. One is I attend Cross Roads Church * Susans oldest sister who was like a sister to me..is married to Pastor Chuck, They are estranged from the family....so somehow God wants to use me to bring them all together once again...wow God is amazing how He speaks to us....He often whispers my name.
A friend loves at all times.....Jesus

I Need Some Ice Cream!!!!!
ok....so I still can not sleep!!!!!!
I need some ice cream. Ice cream helps me sleep at night
I cant get up to get some because my mom * her husband are asleep. Everytime I get up at nite to grab a bite of something...they let me know in the am. They say it kindly...worried because I need 8 to 10 hours of sleep a night or I can be ill again. I have to watch it and I do take a sleeping pill every nite...but tonite the Tarazadone is not keeping me down....I tried Ambian once and I went streaking!!!hahaha that is another story. Its pretty funny...yet I wont tell all now it will spoil the plot.
Im in AA and this time around...Ive been sober for four and a half years- I crave sugar. Ive always been a sugar chick (my mom is a sugar chick too;) I have 3 older bros and when we traveled in our yellow station wagon on our summer vacations...I ordered watermelon for breakfast. My dad * mom were so cool. they let us kids eat what we wanted....I also amped up on Cactus Cooler the original Mt.Dew.hahaha
So this sweet little old lady in AA was worried about me because I stepped out of the program for a few months before I had my spiritual awakening...I said I was craving sugar and she said she has a little bowl everynite of ice cream. She has passed away now yet I often think of her when I get to have my softserve....BTW whats up Micky D? I loved my chocolate dipped cones..they were exactly 1/25....now they dont dip!!!!Ack I need my chocolate fix now and then.
So I got my love of icecream from my grandpa Ross. one year they had a tornado and grandma and all six kids got into the cellar. after the storm--the corn crops were all ruined.. Grandpa got everyone out and said :
"Let's Make Ice Cream" isnt that cool. My grandpa made a board game with marbles and he would play the game with all of his grandchildren. He would play with me for hours..Im brilliant and love games I think they message my brain..hahah

It's 1am and I cant sleep!
!1am....that is correct;)-. so today I had an awesome day! I went to open houses, to a yard sale-got some cool red boots * a cowgirl shirt and some things for a home that I might be in one day if that is God's will for me (it happened to be at one of my new friends house-she gave me everything for free, yet I gave her the 20 in my pocket. Oh by the way...I love that song! I got 20 dollars in my pocket! So then I went to a golf course and bought a cute golf outfit that was 75 percent off...God is so good to me that way. I over heard some men golfers say #Nude Women & Guns. I dont know what that was all about yet I said to them" Oh im mozing over here to say I heard you say Nude Women * Guns....you better watch out or you'll get a Trump reputation. Then I sauntered my way to the door. MEN! wow they can say * do the stupidest things sometimes.....ok now Im gettin tired. GN that's good night to my friends.
Oh I cant leave out that I went to the Norco Rodeo....and I ended up; swimming at my pool at my gym..Texted my friend Jonathon) the Christian young man who said...unfortunately you have to Wait Wait Wait......good advice:) with my movie plot for Stephen...said I want 100,000 for the plot and 10percent of the CD sales. I was prophesied over by my little old couple the Yorks and my African Friend James in the same month that I would be very wealthy one day and make more than my husband...I dont really care about that....yet I do really need money to pay all of my hospital * ambulance rides for the past two years and I need to pay the four years I owe in back taxes...And it would be nice to be able to move out of my old bedroom....one day....

Swimming @ My Gym
Ok....that last blog was kinda serious....
So tonight I went swimming at my gym after work (God provided a job for me at a local Dentist within 10 miles from my mom's house). First I went into the Sauna & talked to a young man who is going to a local college...then I went into the hot tub and talked to another young man Yun..he is from Japan & is here on a Visa..going to school..he wants to be a pilot & he wants to be a US Citizen. He said the process can take up to Ten years..I have heard that before...He was very pleasant & he gave me advice about things to do & see in Japan..I would really love to do the Asian Hop. This is where you purchase one ticket and within a month you can go all over....you just have to wait for last minute empty seats on the airplane so you might get mixed up with your fellow traveler...catch up on the next flight etc...So I'll probably do that trip one day with my world wide traveler daughter Rachelle... She is just like me only better....we really enjoy each other..& I miss her terribly as she is still in Alaska. Her boyfriend Reine is an Inuit. I love him too, he treats her well & he really loves her. He has never lived out of Fairbanks Alaska & this will be a barrier if he does not follow her when she gets the desire to add to her life adventure!.
Ok so then I went swimming & ended up talking to another young man who is in College & he is going to try out for a professional Soccer team in Mexico City at the end of May. I really enjoy listening to people....hearing about their dreams & goals and encouraging them to follow them. And of course I tell them how God has a plan for them too.
I miss my peeps at my Kennedy Gym on the Central Coast. I miss my 6am classes & my 7pm Cynergy classes, my shakes the kids make for me...I always let them create something for me...Im too tired at night to make choices..haha....anyway then I end up swimming under the stars in an Olympic size pool & in the spa with very interesting people who are more of my age. Oh I always wear a T-shirt or cover-up, Im modest & Im not going to wear a bikini in front of a bunch of married men. Oh I pulled out the turquoise string bikini with the gold Polo emblems once & I was very skinny..too skinny that year...for the Presidents' son Stephen....ok so he had talked with me for about 3 weeks...then he went back to his girlfriend.....(the first time I met him & our friend Jay-73yrs....we started talking about Politics...OBTW..he hates politics..wonder why?;) so...I said I had been praying about if I should get back into it all & get involved with Republican Women...he asked me why wasn't I getting into it? I said" Oh because politics is like being in the Mafia...once you get in you cant get out!) so he just smiled & got into the pool. Then Jay said"Do you know who that is?" I said no of course...and he said "That is Stephen Ford". hahaha...so typical of me! I can be very embarrassing or so my daughter says.....so he is still dating this young girl..and I keep asking Johnathon my friend..what is he doing anyway? Johnathon is like..he is just having fun...so I really dont think he is the man for me..and he lives & eats & breaths horses..we've owned horses..Rachelle had Beauty & she and her Dad rode together..he had Anna..yet if anything I live, eat & breath fishing & water...anything around water & Im happy...and I think my friend Farrah would be perfect for him. She has never been married, is a Christian also...she looks like Farrah Fawcett..and I think he is probably used to movie stars...he produces movies in LA. Im pretty ...yet Im not gorgeous .., maybe I'll get a chance to introduce them one day.....
so why isnt anyone introducing me to their single friends? It has been 6 years & I have been praying that Im not on the 10 year plan like my oldest bro Phil was. Well I started praying that 4 years ago....so dear Lord...if you want me to be on the 10 year plan...that is just what I will do & in the in between time please use me as a single woman...in other peoples lives'
"Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul & healing to the bones" Psalm 16;24,......
Oh I did have a very nice man on Christian Mingle say that "I must have been Heaven Cent"...sweet..that made my day;)

$1,000 Dollars
So it's amazing what the addition or lack of a $1,000 can do in one persons life! Just ask me & I can tell some tales......
So this past 2&1/2 years have been very interesting to say the least.
God has a verse for each of us where He says "I am testing you to see if you love me with all of your heart, soul & mind.' He also promises us that "then you will come to me and call on me and pray to me and I will listen and answer you. You will seek me and you will find me when you seek me with all of your heart." This is the second section of the verse in Jeremiah which people leave out....
At this point in my life I have so surrendered to God's will basically because I had no choice. Due to circumstances....ie the events of the past few years...I am now living with my mother & her husband, back in my bedroom...everything I own is in a 10 by 10 Storage Unit. WOW!...this is from a woman who used to own big beautiful homes & I collected European Antiques etc..well I still own a nice car. that will never change although my car got reposed last year & it literally fell apart another time. That though was the least of the journey....
The journey being my health....Ive always been healthy...I am very active & I eat naturally...I eat a banana & an entire apple (core & seeds too;) everyday, hard boiled eggs, not too much meat...oh I do eat ice cream almost every nite because it helps me sleep..,..
Oops! Now about the $1,000. So my Alimony is very little although I know I know....as a CHP wife of 20 years I was supposed to get half pay & half retirement....I didnt want to fight & I had so much anxiety over the separation leading to divorce...I was working full time (God blessed me though as I sold the two highest priced homes that year in Mt. Shasta & another home in the top ten)....so it all worked out; my two children get everything they need. My former (this is a term another eharmony person used in their language that I adopted...it sounds kinder than the whole X thing) agreed to pay for my medical outside of the Alimony...so he arbitrarily decided to take it away when he got remarried last year...our daughter Rachelle graduated in May from UAF with a degree in Psychology with Art Therapy....her school loan is $800 per month. I just have to look at it as though I am the one paying for her College education and I am proud about that.
Real Estate is a fun & exciting career and I love it! It also has lean times as well as golden years. I always rest in that knowing that God gives me what I can handle & sometimes I sell a mobile home & sometimes I sell a 1.5 mil...it is all up to Him. As is everything in my life....so Im back in Corona after moving away over 30 years ago. It is a very beautiful little town & the schools are the best in the state. It is not home to me however as my orange, lemon & avocado groves are gone..the cows are gone from Norco too. There are too many people here in Southern Calif,...I cant breath! Im looking forward to pursuing my Masters degree at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in Crop Science (they dont have a Social Science Major) & living in a smaller community next to the Ocean again. The Central Coast has been home to me for 10 years of my life. Id give up living there though if & when God brings the man He has been designing for me...God has it all figured out...as my Christian Friend Johnathon says.."I have to wait, wait, wait". Good Advice;) .
Good Night...xxx's & ooo's

Almost Midnight....
So it's almost midnight and I....just decided to write a quick blog...
Rachelle is in Paris now. She is having a great time with her new friends. I hope I get to see her in a few months. I prayed about a few things....1) That God would provide for me to be able to pay my taxes and fees etc..etc...my own fault I didnt pay attention to it...:( and 2) That He would provide for me to go to Europe to see Rachelle in Paris. Well God is so good! I just closed a huge escrow so all of my outstanding bills are paid!!!Yeah...I have two more escrows that are small yet when they close I will have the money to go to France....Pray without ceasing and with thanksgiving...what a weird combination yet that is how God wants us to do it....I've learned alot about trusting God and watching Him work in my life these past few years. Lots of answered prayers. Gotta pray tho first if you want answers.
Oh I did make the company production list a few months ago and I am the second to the last person. LOL well I was so excited I posted it on my desk with big red letters "I MADE THE LIST!" we still have about 300 people in our company and there are only 179 agents who have made a sale this year. So with my sale I will move up a bit more than second to the bottom.....I shouldnt really care about this..yet I do..well for me it is good motivation...I think that is why the company even has a list and posts it.
I still love what I do and that is the most important part about your carear.
Lets see....oh this summer was awesome...Rachelle came to visit me from Alaska twice...first visit with her boyfriend Reine...and then she came back again by herself which was sweet because we got to have our "girltime".
Frank brought her down from Sacramento and we all went to Giuseppe's for my 49th Birthday. It was nice because when we are all together its like we are a family again. Anyway no sparks for me or him Thank God...yet it was just nice because we all laugh together, feed each other, draw on the table (crayons on the paper table cloth cover) eat dessert and grown together about how full we are.... it's still our favorite place and it was a great birthday night. We went to the hotsprings which is another favorite spot. The next day we went kayaking and dolphins swam around us it was amazing! Ive never had that happen in my life. Although at Carlsbad beach where our church families camped years ago alot of dolphins swam close to us riding the waves.
Did I mention I love the beach? ;)
I worked today and then shopped with my one of my friends and we ate at Giuseppe's tonite. Hey ...its the end of September...Well it is my favorite restaurant and really that is only the 6th time I think Ive had dinner there in the two years I've been back here and I/we used to go eat there almost every week. Blessings....

One year later!;)
Hey I just realized I haven't posted on my blog for a year!!!!! WOW...must have been busy...actually I was kinda busy. I moved into my own little beach cottage with views of the ocean waves from bedroom and the pier etc from my living room. There are 9 units which are a mixed group of adapted cottages from the 40's. I love Vintage...The owner only rents to single professionals. My girlfreinds daughter said "Well what if you get married? Then you cant live here" I laughed and said "good question I guess I'll have to decide whether to keep my little beach cottage or the man!! For now it's the cottage;)
At Christmas you can see the lighted Christmas tree from the pier, so that was my Christmas Tree..one of my friends said "Well you can brag that my tree reflects into the ocean, can your tree do that?"...my gift at Christmas was that my daughter came to visit me from Alaska..we spent a warm 80 degree weather week here in Pismo Beach...we also saw my family...got to Christmas Eve service at Mariner's church in Newport Beach with a minute to spare..as we hit that _ _ _ _ traffic in L.A. (this is why I usually take the Amtrac to see my family + its cheaper)...Rachelle and I go to Disneyland on Christmas day which has been our tradition...I made reservations the first day you could make them-60 days ahead-for the Blue Bayou. We share a Monte Cristo (which by the way is not on the menu anymore-you have to ask for it). We laugh because it is so deep fried....did we eat that or rub it on our face?...my back hurts...this is from Jim Gaffagahn our favorite comedian....we always buy a princess crown and wear it all day..it often gets us to the front of the line and we get called princess alot or just get wierd looks. Anyway its always fun. And of course gotta go on Tower of Terror as many times in row as our stomachs can take it! Hopefully before we eat the Monte Cristo...
Still working at Century 21 in Pismo Beach...still havent sold a home yet this year...wrote some offers that didnt get accepted and I have many buyers and sellers I am working with....I love what I do..so its all good. We have an office list that shows the agents production. Half of the company of 300 agents are not on the list yet this year, which of course includes me. In my office every agent has made the list..(even if they only made $1,000 in commission)...I'll be on it next month...save the best for last right? And someone has to be last it may as well be me because I trust God to provide and He always does far more than we every ask for....He is so good!
Last March I went to see my daughter in Fairbanks Alaska where she is going to UAF. The weather was 7 degrees yet it was worth it to see my daughter. We stayed in her dorm. She has 3 other really great room-mates they are all on Volleyball scholarships. I also got to meet her boyfriend's mom and spend some more time getting to know Reine. Rachelle and I did see the Aurora Borealis one night. It was AWESOME!!The lights danced right above us with a blueish green tone. It was a moment.
Looking forward to the best that's yet to come this year.

Another Lazy Day at the Beach
Ok....so I really wasnt so lazy.....I ran 2.5 miles at Pismo Beach today. I am going to run in the community fun run on Saturday which is a 5k at the pier. Anyone want to join me? As I was running I came to the area on the beach where the small stream goes through to the ocean. I was contemplating how to go across it and another runner (of course a very cute male) said " you just gotta go through it". I thought about that,,sometimes we have things in our lives that we just cant figure out yet we've got to go through ..well I did and it was actually nice and cool and when I came back to cross it again I knew where my steps would take me.
Totally different train of thought...so I have my ugly flip flops on the patio so I can wear them when Im watering my plants. I started noticing that one was missing...so I looked for it and couldnt find it..then about a week later I found it near the wild rose bushes..weird..then it was missing again..this time I found it under my rattan chair...so either I have a flip flop stalker or some strange little animal who thinks he really wants my shoe...then all of a sudden he stopped taking my shoe and I felt kinda sad like maybe a hawk got him...today my shoe was missing again and I felt better..haha..anyway this time the little guy left me a stick under the shoe? Maybe its a little love gift..heaven knows I could use one!
Oh and I do have a field mouse I see once in awhile running across my patio! At first I didnt know what it was..I thought all mice were cute and white and small...this thing is huge it looks like a mole although I think they stay in holes....do you think he is the one taking my shoe? LOL
So there is a new room-mate now. Tom the kid moved out to live with his girlfriend in SLO. I nicknamed him "The Kid" when I was explaining him to everyone about where I am living and who I am living with. He was alot of fun. His laugh was hilarious (he's from Boston does that matter?) he loved hockey-so I watched a few hockey games on TV with him.. Sometimes I wanted to kill him though like the times he came home late, stomped around the kitchen banging pots and pans to cook because I had fried the microwave...another story....and most annoying were his stinky climbing shoes. OMG! I had to deal with that years ago when another boy took his shoes off after football practice..you know who that is;)...the new room-mate is a lawyer..need I say more? No really he is a fun person..laughs alot.. is very kind...I dont know what they think of me except that I dont care what my hair looks like in the morning-sticking out all crazy...and I also laugh alot...am easy going..and of course they think I dont work...well my daughter Rachelle thinks that also. She says "Mom your like retired..."haha well that is the illusion when you love what you do.
About real estate: on Saturdays I usually run on the beach, get my herba mate tea at Steaming Bean, the cafe in Shell Beach, and do an open house. This Saturday I picked the ugliest overpriced house our company has listed in Shell Beach. I actually had alot of people in to see it and made about 4 potential contacts. You never know....
Oh Im not going to class reunion because Rachelle will be here, yet Im going to see my family in August. Im taking the Amtrac because have you seen my truck? Ya it would take alot of money to get down there and back. Its nice to just veg and read a book, snooze, go by the nude beach (did I say that?) and not sit in traffic. Hope your summer is going just as you planned with a little unexpected excitement...that is always a good thing in life.

Lazy Day at the Beach
Ok so I'm having another lazy day here at the beach (home). It is weird starting over....I'm just kinda wingin it...I did join the nicer gym from fitness 19 yesterday and went to a cynergy class..Its like yoga only harder. I joined this gym so I could work out with weights and go to classes that I like...zumba etc
I am going to volunteer at the local Woods Humane Society where the animals get adopted..I really miss walking my husky Peyton everyday..she kept me centered..and walking a dog keeps your cholesterol down. Owning a cat keeps your blood pressure down if you hold it. I also miss kitty...Rachelle's crazy cat Leo...King Louie ran away the first day we moved to Redding..we did not find him until a year later...he had settled into the street above us..go figure..and he acted like a mayor going to one home to the other getting food at each home..I prayed to see him one last time before I moved and that day as I took my walk..I stopped to talk to my neighbor and King Louie was in his garage on the boat..so God is good! He cares about all of our little prayers as well as our bigger ones.
I was wondering what to do with my wedding dress after carrying it around for 20 years..I kept it for Rachelle's visit in May. We got it out, she tried it on and we laughed about how poofy it was (ya know the 90's). I prayed about what to do with it. God answered the prayer when my African friend emailed me. He said he found a good woman from his tribe to marry (he really actually said tribe:) and he wanted prayer for 3 things. 1) the wedding dress 2) the ring 3) me coming to Liberia to attend the wedding. I was amazed and thankful that God would care so much about him and his bride to provide the first requests ( I got a silver ring for $10). I have no desire to go to Africa right now. I did tell him God may provide a way and reason for me to go there one day...
So what else...oh I got my oil changed in my truck yesterday..as I was waiting I picked up the Men's Health magazine to see what guys are all into these days. Every other page was either an advertisement for a watch, stinky cologne, or alcohol..come on really? All of the articles were lame too...At least in women's magazines we dont have booze ads...that is just gross! It didnt have anything to do with health by the way...like walking your dog or holding your cat..Haha
Yes, I do actually work...I really love what I do, it doesnt seem like work..since I am building my business up after moving every two to four years...it may take awhile before I have listings or sales...I usually run on the beach Saturday mornings and then I do an open house. And of course I go to the home tours and office meeting tours. The prices are continuing to drop which is good for the buyers. A home just went for sale across the street..the older man just bought it 8 months ago and decided to stay in LA...I met his son this morning as he was sitting on the outside steps of the home..He was upset with his dad for buying it in the first place and selling it so soon at a loss..I asked him if his dad needed the money and he said no. Then I said whats the problem he just changed his mind. Really I dont get these adult children. Why do they care what their parents decide to do? Are they waiting for them to drop off and get their money? People worry about so many things. Get a LIFE!...my mom can do whatever she wants to do with her home (the 1100 sq ft tract home where my 3 brothers and I grew up). I dont want anything except maybe these cool soup bowls from the 60's that have a unique glaze (my bro Phil wants the retro black and steel coffee table shaped like a surf board, Perry wants the old slides of my dad and our family+the projector+screen..I dont think Paul wants anything...maybe his old hot wheels and baseball cards :)
Ok, so Im gonna get going..Have to buy soil to plant the lemon tree I bought at a local farmer's market. We are all so spoiled here on the Central Coast...we have fresh fruit (right now strawberries) and veggies..Oh yes I am going to the gym and my women's bible study at my girlfriends home tonite...and I actually do work (or play) tomorrow.
Life is good...

Happy Easter! Enjoy!
Everyone needs things in their lives to look forward to. I think that's why God gives us kids & grandkids (sports, birthdays, more grandkids etc....) Are you looking forward to the Royal Wedding on Friday? Having any parties? Well I figured out the day...I cant find the time because I dont understand the BBC time frames. I googled it and everything...so Im resorting to asking my mom...she still reads the paper. I do remember watching Princess Diana's (who's the guy she married? Thats ok no one remembers him anyway) wedding. I cant remember what time my mom and I watched it in the morning yet I dont think it was 3am like the PLT time whatever that means.
So lets see...ok Royal Wedding, Mothers Day, my daughter is visiting me from Alaska in May, I am going to a realtors staging course in Anaheim in May..Ok what for June? I dont know, yet in July there is my 30 year class reunion (already bought the hot dress..LOL). In August is my 48th birthday (August babies are the best!) Beyond that I'll have to wait and see...So all you sport lovers have the basketball games and playoffs (does basketball ever not have a season..it seems like it goes on and on..its about as boring as a tennis match). Also Baseball season....and I do love baseball. I used to have my boyfriend take a mit to the Anaheim Angels games because I didnt want to get hit by the baseball...(thats in the A's not in the LA Angels...please...)
The HOA cut down the ornamental tree outside of my kitchen window yesterday! I loved seeing the little birds in the morning as they would sing to me when I was making my coffee. This is a result of getting the landscaping upgraded 4 years ago to Palm trees & tropical plants. It has been 4 years...what was up with that? I got home and yelled..JASON! (He works for the Contractor who built these homes)..Anyway no use, the tree is gone now and gotta have that million dollar view...but I loved my little birds...
So here are some things I've learned and do in my life...as random acts of kindness:
A) When someone at the department store asks me if I would like to open an account I say "No thank you, yet thank you for asking me..(those poor kids probably get nasty negative looks and they are only doing their job)
B) I always sign my paycheck and then write Thank You on the front..I've learned this from a story about a professor who loved to teach so much..that when he passed away they found 5 years of uncashed checks in his desk.
C) When someone has a heart for hospitality and asks me if I would like something to eat, or share coffee etc I have learned to say yes..when you take the time to slow down..you meet some very wonderful people. I was doing an open house in a 55+ mobile home park and this little old couple asked me if I wanted to see their home also as it was for sell. I said Yes..when I looked at their home they asked me if I wanted some coffe..I said Yes..so we all sat down, shared stories..and they prayed for me.
D) I wave at everyone and say hi to everyone I pass...people are strange though about 3/4 are so untrusting they dont even say hi...interestingly all of the children wave, smile and say hi.
E) I open the door for people and if its a man I let him get the door (ok its old fashioned but I think they feel good) or if you are a man..open the door!
F) If you see people on the beach using a metal detector...throw your loose change out there and when they come back they get so excited..LOL..my crazy friend and I used to do that at Avila Beach..
So here are my tips for the day...see ya next time. Have a blessed day & enjoy your families this Easter.
Galatians 5:22-23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there in no law".

Raining in Shell Beach
Hi to all. It is raining here today, Friday. I went kayaking by myself on Sunday and it was sunny and very warm. The ocean was very calm and I paddled up to two fat otters. Next month the seals will have their pups. It is very cool to see them in the wild. The Bull Seals are wintering over near Hearst Castle at the beach. They already have their babies and the males fight like crazy to show their dominance. The monarch butterflies are about ready to leave for their next journey. These butterflies live the longest here in Pismo Beach. The other ones die along the way after they lay their eggs. It is a wonder of science how the monarchs know their path when they never make the entire journey. Now youve had your nature lesson for the day:) You are welcome to visit and see what we have around here. As some of you know we also have the hot springs (ok another nature lesson). Now you see why I love living here. I found my first boyfriend on facebook and told him how sweet, respectful and fun he was. He said I was his first love. My first love was one of my camp counselors. Valentines day: gave chocolates to the ladies at work, sent valentine cards to my girlfriends, got a sweet card from Phil & Laurie, and I ate lots of chocolate! Hope yours was filled with love too. Remember Love is a Verb.

Super Bowl Sunday!
Although I dont really care about super bowl or who wins I do care if the score ends with 3-3 as Ive made a $5 bet with 100 other people. So at 1st and 3rd quarter? I will make $50, at half time $100 and at end of game $500. Go Penny! Ive been hitting garage sales to buy cheap succulents for the two big empty pots on my patio. Wish someone had free potting soil. Have you seen the prices of this crap (literally)? Anyway this is a right brain activity which my new psychologist recommends everyone do to be healthy and balanced. Can you think of any right brain activities (anything creative)? I know two people who are extremely right brained (guess who*) Anyway Im supposed to get a coloring book and crayons and doodle( can I drool too?) I need a lot of practice with my right brain. Had alot of couples in today to see this 55 and over community. I sold the first unit to this complex. Teased to be my boyfriend Ralph who actually fought in the battle of Iwa Jima sp? He wrote a short book "My life as a jarhead" He still lives here and the community gave him an 89th birthday party. I have found world war 2 vets to be the most happy, appreciative & content people I have ever known. The women stepped up too and served as nurses and did mens jobs at home to keep the factories open. Did you know they rationed panty hose and sugar and lots of other things during the war? Love to all. Gotta go the game is about to begin! Oh did you guess who? Cathy Kuschell and Rachelle Parrish go right brainers!

My Life at the Beach;)
Beach Life is Awesome. Waking up to a sunrise with an ocean view. Saying Thank You God and Beautiful Wish You Were Here. Seeing the ocean view from my room and private patio is so refreshing. So Ive returned to the beach where I started out single newly graduated from Cal Poly Pomona. How life is a full circle is something. I lived here for four years then. I also was here again when Rachelle was a new freshman. Now Ive returned single again and starting over although I feel comfortable here as this is really "Home" for me. I love that Im near my family again in Southern California (a short 4 hour drive). I hate that I am away from my daughter Rachelle who is in Alaska. (Ok no Debbie Downer in this blog I promise....this is a skit from SNL so you tube it very funny)
I am new at blogging. Of course you get that as this is my first blog ever in my life. I want to keep my friends posted who Ive left behind in Northern California and for my daughter in Alaska and friends in other states too (Washington, South Dakota, Minnesota, New York, Ohio) and friends around the world (Africa). New bloggers to my site welcome too.
Got to go. Im doing an open house in an hour. Wish me luck! God Bless!
